“I never cared about the games they played”, consist in a series of paintings produced in 2018, during my stay in Auckland city, exhibited in Whitespace Contemporary Art Gallery. It takes as reference the 8 Bits video games aesthetics, posters of Heavy Metal, and anime. The deformed, visceral, grotesque and dark appearance are appropriated to recreate an environment outside of reality, but that alludes directly to it. Insomnia, fire, wounds, cracks, holes, debris, chains, vomits, snakes and volcanic lava, is what we face in this world of hostile times.
